Event Description
The pilot reported a bird strike on landing rollout with power lever at idle. You and your team have already borescoped the High-Pressure Compressor (HPC) verifying no damage to the core of the engine. This will require technicians to remove the fan blades in a uniform manner to prevent shingling of the mid span dampeners. This event will test the technician’s carefully taken steps to remove the Fan Blades from a Honeywell TFE731 Turbofan engine to accomplish the replacement. (Technicians will be reassembling the engine with a replacement fan blade), teams are assessed according to the shortest time to accomplish task.
